You need nothing for this class except lunch/snacks/beverages and a notebook. This class will include live fire, where you will be evaluated on your safety on the range. |

April 29th from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm |
This is the BIT (Basic Instructor Training) class. You will learn everything from the dos and don’ts of instruction, NRA policy, teaching tips, and much more. Please bring a laptop capable of running PowerPoint and, as always, a notebook. There will be an open-book test at the end of class. |
|
April 30th from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm |
This is the rifle-specific training. You will be participating in teach-backs all day in the classroom and running your fellow students through live-fire exercises on the range. Please bring a laptop capable of running PowerPoint and, as always, a notebook. |
The Rifle specific class is where you learn the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to teach The NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting to students. You will be given all materials needed to teach the class and will put what you learned into practice. You will have multiple opportunities to teach in this course and learn by applying the skills covered in class.

- Must have at least 1 year experience in gun safety, ownership, and operation
- MUST demonstrate sound safety on the range and classroom
