You will learn the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and fire a rifle safely. Upon completion of this class you will earn the NRA Basic Rifle certificate. Also includes all NRA certified materials and an invaluable Patriot law and best practices packet. Price also includes range time where you will shoot .22, .223, and 7mm.
You will learn:
- Safe rifle handling
- Rifle parts and operation
- Ammunition and how it works
- Shooting fundamentals
- How to improve your shooting skills
- Mass and Federal laws
- Must be 14 or older to be valid for FID but all ages can take the course
- Cannot have a felony on your record
- Must not have been admitted against your will to a mental health facility
- Must not have had an alcohol related offense after 2004
- Must be a US citizen
All students to arrive at 51 Winthrop St Unit 1 in Rehoboth between 7:45 and 8:00am. You can bring a lunch or order from the pizza place but we “work” thru lunch so to speak. Around 2:30 we will leave and meet at the range in Mansfield for the live fire portion of the class. All you need to bring is a willingness to learn.
