These days with traveling in cars, using equipment and acts of violence it is important to have the skills and knowledge to take care of ourselves and those around us in case of a traumatic injury. This class will give you some basic skills to do just that using tourniquets, either store bought or improvised, hemostatic agents and trauma dressings. Blood loss from trauma is high on the list of causes of death and we as a community can hopefully lower that statistic. BTI (Basic Trauma Interventions) is geared to help learn and understand the important and possibly life-saving interventions a person can use WITHOUT having a medical background. This informational and hands on class is a great tool to have for all walks of life.
This class will meet 9:00am – 1:00pm on February 10, 2018
What you will need:
– 3-4 hours of your time
– A willingness to learn and participate in a hands-on class (no death by power point)
– Comfortable clothing
– A note pad
